When you are autoprogressing, the viewer must stop at the beginning of a repeat, wait for the first time playing the repeat is done, and then continue.
This is done automatically by marking the beginning and end of repeats, and the alternatives.
Beginning of repeat: right-click the barline and select “Mark beginning of repeat”. A small dialog will pop up allowing you to enter the times the repat is played. This is normally 2, so in most cases you can just hit enter.

End of repeat: right-click the barline and select “Mark end of repeat”
When there are alternatives for the repeat ending, right click on the barlines to the left of the repeat ending alternatives, and select Mark alternative for repeat. A small dialog will pop up where you must enter the number of the alternative. In the example below that means entering 1 for the first, and 2 for the second.

This allows complex scenarios where for example you play a repeat four times, with three alternative endings. For example 1,2 and 3 and 4. You will then enter 1 for the first alternative, 3 for the second and 4 for the third. This will cause the viewer to know that the first alternative is played twice.
