The Ideal Screen Size

An ideal choice for a digital sheet music tablet with a 14″ screen in the ideal 16:10 ratio.

Screen width is 189mm, which allows to display an A4 (297x210mm) sheet music when removing the margins (which the SCORA software automatically does for you)

The screen height is 303mm, which not only allows an A4 sheet music @100% (after margin removal), but still leaves room for some quick access annotation buttons. And even then, it will more staff lines than the A4 sheet.

When comparing this with an iPad Pro 13″ in 4:3 format, one can see that the iPad Pro is wider (198mm), but not as tall (256mm) as the Solo 14. It is thus easy to see that the height limitation does not allow to take full advantage of the extra width the iPad Pro provides. Displaying an A4 full screen will in most cases result in some white margins still being displayed in order to fit all sheet music on the screen vertically.

And with the screen in landscape position, and the per-staff-line scrolling SCORA  software, this becomes adream tablet for musicians with reduced eyesight.

Software options

Runs the SCORA software for group/ensemble/orchestral usage.

As this is a regular Android tablet, one can also install MobileSheets Pro, a good alternative for individual musicians.

One can also download other apps from the Play Store, but we do not guarantee compatibility with security sensitive apps (banking, streaming services, …)
